A visual representation of a poem written by prisoner Max Roswell, in which he describes his positive state of mind combating the bleak surroundings of his jail cell and life without freedom.

The image of aerial performers is made from several shots taken at the mind blowing Carny Ville shows put together by the Invisible Circus (www.invisiblecircus.co.uk). Thats also the charismatic ring master in action in the second image.

The images making the third collage were taken whilst filming for a Mindless Faith music video directed by Paul Green, the model is Ash Clarke.

We spent three days camping in the woods, I was responsible for animating the dead bird, a bit worse for ware after the moths had eaten all his feathers! The Goblin King

I travelled to London to photograph a very unique night called The Goblin Kings Court Of Disorder. It was organized by Gorilla Zoo and inspired by the legendary artist and conceptual designer of The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth films- Brian Froud. I met the man himself along with a host of other creative creatures. Here's a few photographs from the night, some of my images also found their way onto the pages of Fae magazine, great!

One of the best things for me about the night was the blurring of lines between audience members and performers, everyone was in costume, everyone was freakishly equal, everyone was definitely having fun.

Superstition inspired illustrations: In the olden days when the Earth was flat, black cats were considered unlucky - they were devils in disguise! The Gods also lived in trees, that's why we knock on wood for luck, we are knocking to ask for protection... Protection against the cats?!

Some of my illustrations are published in Barry Purves's book Stop Motion: Passion, Process and Performance. I traveled up north to it's launch during the Bradford Animation Festival, several other illustrators and the man himself were there signing copies. It's a great book enthusiastically written from a personal viewpoint, giving advice, behind the scenes information and interviews with other leading practitioners.
