Cabot Not So Circus

Armed with a rope, one camera and some balls we took to the Bristol streets to temporarily reclaim public spaces as our own creative playground. The intention was to entertain, question, inspire and amuse whoever may be passing through the spaces. This is what happened...

Bozarts Logo Concepts

Working with director David Adams I've been creating a visual face for the performance/music company Bozarts. All designs above are showing a range of concept ideas, you'll have to watch this space for the finished image.

They'll Never Take My Soul

One shot, 100% stop motion.

A visual representation of a poem written by prisoner Max Roswell, in which he describes his positive state of mind combating the bleak surroundings of his jail cell and life without freedom.

This film is part of my final degree work.

The image of aerial performers is made from several shots taken at the mind blowing Carny Ville shows put together by the Invisible Circus (www.invisiblecircus.co.uk). Thats also the charismatic ring master in action in the second image.

The images making the third collage were taken whilst filming for a Mindless Faith music video directed by Paul Green, the model is Ash Clarke.

Dead Bees

Graham Coxon - Dead Bees by BangOn

Graham Coxon- Dead Bees
Video by Collision Films

I worked as an animator for Collision Film, making this creepy video for Blur's Graham Coxon. We spent three days camping in the woods, I was responsible for animating the dead bird, a bit worse for ware after the moths had eaten all his feathers! Coppe/Cleverhead

Cleverhead invited me to a night to photograph Coppe playing live, they had set up some great background projections to accompany her, this combined with her unique style made for some interesting shots. Checkout Cleverhead, they're a great events company and I particularly like the manifesto on their website. www.cleverhead.co.uk For more on Coppe check out www.myspace.com/coppe.sweetrice

Chips Make Me Fat

Flying Sequence

Just finished putting this sequence of drawings together for They'll Never Take My Soul, it's looking good so far.

They'll Never Take My Soul - Stills

Its coming along nicely! After a lot of experimenting the lighting's now very moody and atmospheric, some beautiful shadows are cast as the box rotates.

They'll Never Take My Soul

Here's a sneaky peek at a still from a film I'm working on called They'll Never Take My Soul. It involves rotation, animation, illustration, poetry and prison, what more can you ask for! I'm excited about this one!

Bristol Zombie Walk

Bristol goes mad on Halloween! Here's some photos from the zombie walk eating its way through the city's heart.

The Goblin King

I travelled to London to photograph a very unique night called The Goblin Kings Court Of Disorder. It was organized by Gorilla Zoo and inspired by the legendary artist and conceptual designer of The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth films- Brian Froud. I met the man himself along with a host of other creative creatures. Here's a few photographs from the night, some of my images also found their way onto the pages of Fae magazine, great!

One of the best things for me about the night was the blurring of lines between audience members and performers, everyone was in costume, everyone was freakishly equal, everyone was definitely having fun.

Have a look at Gorilla Zoo's website, their events are not to be missed!

Superstition

Superstition inspired illustrations: In the olden days when the Earth was flat, black cats were considered unlucky - they were devils in disguise! The Gods also lived in trees, that's why we knock on wood for luck, we are knocking to ask for protection... Protection against the cats?!
